2. Data We Collect and Why
2.1 Account Information
- What: Your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never store your plaintext password).
- Why: To create and authenticate your BarnPro account.
2.2 Barn and Organization Data
- What: Barn name, barn configuration, stall assignments, and organizational structure.
- Why: To set up and manage your barn within the app.
2.3 Team Member Data
- What: Display names, email addresses, roles (e.g., barn owner, trainer, groom), and activity status for members you invite to your barn.
- Why: To manage team access, scheduling, and task assignment.
2.4 Horse and Animal Records
- What: Horse names, breeds, ages, ownership information, health records, vaccination history, vet visit notes, workout logs, and horse photos.
- Why: To provide horse profile management, health tracking, and workout history features.
2.5 Scheduling and Work Log Data
- What: Scheduled tasks, appointments, work log entries, and time records associated with team members and horses.
- Why: To provide scheduling, task management, and work log features.
2.6 Subscription and Payment Information
- What: Subscription status, plan type, payment provider (Apple or Stripe), and subscription period dates. We do not store full credit card numbers or payment details — these are handled entirely by Apple (for in-app purchases) or Stripe (for web subscriptions).
- Why: To manage your BarnPro subscription and grant appropriate access.
2.7 Device and Usage Information
- What: Device type, operating system version, and app version. We do not collect advertising identifiers, precise location, or behavioral analytics.
- Why: To support troubleshooting and ensure app compatibility.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to provide and improve BarnPro. Specifically:
- To authenticate your account and maintain your session
- To deliver the features of BarnPro (barn management, horse records, scheduling, team coordination)
- To process and manage your subscription
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, subscription receipts)
- To respond to support requests
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following third-party services to operate BarnPro. Each acts as a data processor on our behalf and is bound by their own privacy and security standards:

We do not share your data with any third parties beyond those listed above.
5. Data Storage and Security
Storage
All BarnPro data is stored on Supabase infrastructure hosted in the United States. User-uploaded files (such as horse photos and health record attachments) are stored in Supabase object storage using unique, non-guessable identifiers (UUIDs). These files are not publicly listed or indexed.
Security Measures
- All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS
- All stored data is encrypted at rest using AES-256
- Authentication is managed through Supabase Auth with secure session tokens
- Access to your barn data is restricted to authenticated members of your barn only
International Users
If you are located in the EU, UK, or other regions outside the United States, please be aware that your data is transferred to and processed in the United States. By using BarnPro, you consent to this transfer. We comply with applicable GDPR requirements for international data transfers.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data — including your barn records, horse profiles, team member records, subscription history, and uploaded files — is permanently deleted from our systems. This deletion is irreversible.
If you cancel your subscription but do not delete your account, your data is retained and remains accessible if you resubscribe.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
All Users
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data at any time, directly within the BarnPro iOS app (Settings → Delete Account) or web app (Account Settings → Delete Account)
- Portability: Request an export of your data
EU and UK Users (GDPR)
In addition to the above, you have the right to:
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
California Users (CCPA)
You have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected and how it is used
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information)
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at notifications@equihealth.net with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
BarnPro is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at notifications@equihealth.net and we will promptly delete it.
9. Cookies and Tracking
The BarnPro iOS app does not use cookies. The BarnPro web application (app.barnproapp.com) uses only essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of BarnPro after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
